I needed to use eyedrops, which turned my eyes black and the ink would spread until my eyes appeared black. But would disappear any time i blinked. My vision would be fine, but slightly dimmed when the black ink spread. But after a couple of hrs, the ink would come out along with the eye boogers(?) and appear blue like ink from a pen. It wasn't pouring out. It was only with the eye boogers. But, if I blinked too much, then my eyes would look irritated and red (as if I rubbed my eyes or had bad allergies) I feel like usually completely dark or black eyes is associated with something demonic, but that's not what I felt in the dream. In the dream, I hypothesized the eyedrops were meant to encourage blinking to prevent my eyes from drying out even more.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences, blending them into symbolic narratives that can express our inner selves. Your dream about using eyedrops that transform your eyes into black and then blue ink while also dealing with eye irritations reveals deep layers of meaning.
Eyes are powerful symbols in dreams, representing perception, awareness, and insight. In your dream, the transformation of your eyes from their natural state to black and then blue might suggest a journey of self-exploration. The black ink could symbolize feelings of confusion or a temporary obscuring of clarity, possibly indicating that there’s something in your waking life you’re having difficulty seeing clearly, whether it’s an emotion, a situation, or even a personal characteristic you’re grappling with.
The change from black to blue ink is significant. Black can denote the unknown, fear, or negativity, but blue is often associated with calmness, clarity, and communication. This transition might suggest that you're moving through a darker phase or insecurity towards a clearer understanding of yourself or a situation. The blue ink that results from the eye boogers may symbolize a release of old emotions or thoughts (represented by the eye boogers) that are surfacing and turning into something more constructive or expressive (the blue ink).
The eyedrops themselves appear to be functional, suggesting a desire or need for enhancement or protection of your emotional or mental clarity. The idea that these drops promote blinking hints at an awareness of the need to maintain self-care and be proactive in addressing your own emotional health. Blink reflexively symbolizes renewal or refreshment—indicating a craving for moments of pause or relief in your life.
The irritation and redness of the eyes can symbolize stress or emotional strain. Your mind might be alerting you that you’ve been overwhelmed or pushing yourself too hard. The fact that this was tied to excessive blinking might imply that sometimes trying too hard to perceive or engage with an emotion or situation can lead to burnout or emotional fatigue.
While it’s common to interpret black eyes as carrying a negative or ominous connotation, your feelings in the dream were not aligned with this interpretation. This indicates emotional complexity; you might be confronting buried fears or negative thoughts but are doing so in a way that feels neutral or even liberating.
Overall, this dream points to an important self-reflective process. You are navigating personal challenges and emotions, experimenting with new perspectives, and managing stressors that can obscure your insight. There’s an essence of transformation involved—a movement from confusion (black) to clarity (blue). It suggests that you have an inherent ability to process through these experiences, and though there are moments of discomfort (the irritation), recognizing and slow down (the blinking) is essential for emotional health. Ultimately, this dream invites you to embrace the complicated journey of self-awareness and the healing process that comes with it.
